I want Barack Obama for president. I love Obama. I call Palin the helicopter huntress from hell! I want my children to have a wonderful future, and it’s disturbing when I look around. Americans aren’t very well-liked. A likable president would be a great start.

There’s the Ronald Reagan cupped-ear gambit. The press is deliberately and systematically kept away from him. All you hear is a bunch of monkeys screaming at him when they could easily have been brought right up and the president could have stood and talked in a conversational tone.

Our Keystone legislation received strong bipartisan support in the Senate. Although it didn’t receive the 60 votes necessary for passage, 56 senators – a majority – voted in favor of the bill. Despite President Obama’s actively lobbying against the bill, we still won the support of 11 Democrats.

There are many good reasons to fear a nuclear Iran, but also many good reasons to fear the consequences of launching a preventive military strike against Iran. If the president, whoever it is, wants to do the latter, he or she should – indeed, under the Constitution, must – go to Congress.
