In my years of working in theatre and TV I’ve learnt that my main skill is not the instrumental playing but the idea of what to play and my interest for so many kinds of music. Often people ask me to contribute to projects when they don’t stay in just one genre. I feel more like a composer who just has to play his own things.
People are just so stupid.
For some reason, people think I am this terrible person and it really hurts me to hear that. I am just doing the best I know how to.
Eclecticism. Every truth is so true that any truth must be false.

All the worry people expend over not existing after they die, yet nary a one ever seems to spare a moment to worry about not having existed before they were conceived. Or at all. After all, one sperm over and we would have been our sisters, and we’d never have been missed.
The world is made by the people who show up for the job.
Never underestimate the human capacity for wishful thinking and willful blindness,’ said Miles. Such as a whole society of people who became so wrapped up in avoiding death, they forgot to be alive?
Most people go through their whole lives without killing anybody. False argument.
If you’re trying to take a roomful of people by surprise, it’s a lot easier to hit your targets if you don’t yell going through the door.

Any communitys arm of force – military, police, security – needs people in it who can do necessary evil, and yet not be made evil by it. To do only the necessary and no more. To constantly question the assumptions, to stop the slide into atrocity.
I have a catch-phrase to describe my plot-generation technique — ‘What’s the worst possible thing I can do to these people?’
People give themselves to you, in their talking, and in other ways, if you are quiet and patient and let them, and not in such a damned rush to give yourself to them you go bat-blind and deaf.
The people must grant a hearing to the best poets they have else they will never have better.
While many people are trying to be in tune with infinite, what they really are is in tune with the indefinite.
Most people show up for work being physically accoutered but mentally disheveled.
Under the sustaining influence of love, the physical body is always at its best. It is probably true that more people are sick from lack of love in their lives than from all other causes put together.
In North America, the greatest threat to the Jewish people is not the external force of antisemitism, but the internal forces of apathy, inertia and ignorance of our own heritage.
Hobbies are for people that don’t like what they’re doing.
So whatever I find true for myself, other people might also relate to.

Whenever a people or an institution forget its hard beginnings, it is beginning to decay.
I can remember only a few of the strange and curious words now dead but living and spoken by the English people a thousand years ago.
A tree is best measured when it is down – and so it is with people.
The people know what the land knows.
