Are our ways of teaching students to ask some questions always correlative with our ways of teaching them not to ask Рindeed, to be unconscious of Рothers? Does the educational system exist in order to promulgate knowledge, or is its main function rather to universalize a society’s tacit agreement about what it has decided it does not and cannot know?

I have spent my adult life trying to figure out why parents and society put themselves into a race — what’s the hurry? I keep trying to convey the pleasure every parent and teacher could feel while observing, appreciating and enjoying what the infant is doing. This attitude would change our educational climate from worry to joy.
